Cool down this summer with these Starbucks frappuccinos and food items

These past days, I’ve been “dying” from the heat. So it’s a comfort to know that I can cool off at Starbucks with the latest frappuccinos (there are 4!) and a new selection of food items.

The summer beverages and food items, as well as other summer Starbucks merchandise including two new cards and a coffee blend, were introduced in a fun, island carnival event called the Siren’s Island. Set within the Music Hall of SM’s Mall of Asia, Siren’s Island treated bloggers and the public to the carnival feel.

We stepped through a wooden dock and into Siren’s Island where masked men on stilts and jugglers met us.

Right in the center of the hall was Caramelt Mountain which aptly introduced some of the summer beverages.

We also got to play different games at the game booths all around. Our final stop was a Selfie-Go-Round, a carousel-themed 360-degree photo booth.

It was all fun. Except that it was an extremely hot and humid day. So let’s move on to the cool (literally!) stuff.

First, the beverages. There are 3 core beverages – the Triple Mocha Frappuccino, the Dark Caramel Coffee Frappuccino, and the Red Velvet Cake Cream Frappuccino.

Two of the frappuccinos are doubly rich with whipped cream at the top as well as the bottom layers. Wow! The Triple Mocha Frappuccino is made from dark mocha sauce layered between cold-brew infused whipped cream, white chocolate, and dark caramel.

Substitute the Dark Mocha Sauce with Dark Caramel Sauce and the same drink transforms into the Dark Caramel Coffee Frappuccino.

Inspired by the Red Velvet cake, the Red Velvet Cake Cream Frappuccino is a blend of chocolate chips, mocha sauce, raspberry and vanilla syrup, topped with whipped cream.

A fourth beverage, a tropical treat that is available only for a limited time, is my favorite — the Mixed Berry Frappuccino with Pomegranate Pearls. Remember the Teavana tea with Pomegranate Pearls? Did you love how the pomegranate pearls popped in your mouth? I loved it! Now, it is part of this smooth and fruity beverage made with mixed berry sauce blended with velvety milk and topped with cream to balance its tart berry flavor. I love berry flavors even in yogurt or gelato so having it in a frappuccino with the pomegranate pearls is quite a combination.

All four beverages are available for PhP 170 (Tall), PhP 185 (Grande), and PhP 200 (Venti).

When there are drinks, there should be food so let’s check out what summer food items we can get.
