Dunlopillo mattresses help Moms cope with lack of sleep

Moms can relate to this — taking care of our children and our family is a 24/7 task and many times, we lose a lot of sleep. Whether it is the demands of a breastfeeding baby, caregiving a sick kid, helping schooling kids, and attending to a million and one other things that mothers do, we know that sleep becomes a very precious commodity.

And where do we spend at least 1/3 of our lives? IN BED!!!
That means our choice of mattress is not just important. It can be life-changing!!!

At an intimate gathering of mommy friends, we met some celebrity moms — model-turned-Mom Kelly Misa, blogger Cat Arambulo, and host/emcee Patty Laurel — who shared their experience with their young ones and how important a choice of mattress was to help them cope with lack of sleep. Top of mind for them – Dunlopillo.

Wellness goodness from Mott’s Apple Juice

In an attempt to keep making healthy choices, I consciously try to stay away from artificial beverages. This means ordering fresh fruit juices most of the time instead of powdered drinks or carbonated beverages.

And yet, when it came to fresh fruit juices, I always had this image of fresh fruits being blended right there and then. I never really thought of real fruit as coming from a bottle. But then, I got invited to the Mott’s Apple Juice event and my good friend, Janice Villanueva, founder of Mommy Mundo, happened to be its brand ambassador. Of course, I know and trust Janice’s good judgment and know that all she wants for her family is the best by making her own healthy choices.

Knorr’s Lutong Nanay Nutrition Program helps moms prepare more nutritious food for their families

There are at least 5 million malnourished children in the Philippines.

That was a statistic from the Food Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) of the DOST. Considering we are a population of about 100 million people, that is a scary 5% of the population that is not getting enough of the right nutrition. With children, malnutrition is especially critical because their brains and bodies are still developing and to lack the proper nutrients at this stage means they miss a very crucial window in their lives to develop to their full potential.

So it was quite inspiring to find out that Knorr was launching a Lutong Nanay Nutrition Program that aimed to make nutritious meals accessible for every child. The program is a 3-step model of Feed Teach and Make It Last.

Sneak Peek of the Starbucks 2016 Planners and Starbucks Cards

It’s that time of the year again when Starbucks collectors await the Christmas collection. So I won’t delay any further and give you a sneak peek of the 2016 Starbucks Planner, Starbucks Cards (yes, there are more this year than ever before!), and Starbucks tumblers.

The first thing you need to know even before seeing the planners is that this is the first year that Starbucks is actually tying up with partners on the planners, cards and tumblers. Unlike previous years when Starbucks collectibles were exclusively Starbucks, this time the loved brand pairs up with exciting brands to make the collectibles even more, well, collectible!

The 2016 Starbucks Planners

For the first time in the history of Starbucks planners, Starbucks pairs up with Moleskine to bring the Moleskine look to all four of their planners. Moleskine is the heir and successor to legendary notebooks used by artists and thinkers like Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Ernest Hemingway and Bruce Chatwin. The well-known Moleskine design is brought to Starbucks planners in a straightforward manner with lots of space for notes.

The paper is acid-free. That means it can last for decades without turning yellow with age. At the same time, each planner allows you to contribute to the advocacies of non-profit organizations such as Teach For the Philippines (TFP) and Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA).

For Moleskine fans, this is definitely something exciting to look forward to and it is coming November 2, 2015.

Arla Foods from Denmark recently brought their Arla dairy products to Asia, specifically to the Philippines.  So…you may think…what’s different about these dairy products? Read on…

GlaxoSmithKline announces the new winners in its Search for the Winners Against Asthma (SWAA)

Back in February 2015, I attended a GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) event where they announced that they were launching a Search for the Winners Against Asthma (SWAA). This nationwide search meant to find young achievers 30 years old and below who were outstanding in their respective fields despite suffering from asthma. The search was meant to portray hope that asthma, although a chronic disease, could be overcome in different ways.

Here is my February post covering the search’s launch.

Meet the winners!

The Earth Kitchen is now in Bonifacio Global City!!!

After two fruitful years in the White Plains area, Earth Kitchen is opening its second branch in Bonifacio Global City! Located at the Bonifacio High Street area, a vibrant and busy district, surrounded by yoga and fitness studios and teeming with office employees and BGC residents, Earth Kitchen offers farm-to-table delicious and healthy menu items.

Among the restaurants in that area that I had tried, Earth Kitchen was different in that it readily brought the rural into the urban setting with such perfect blending.

Enjoying the Art of Taking Time with Swift Premium Corned Beef and Hand Lettering

The company of friends. A sumptuous, specially-designed Spanish dinner menu by Chef Chin Gallegos of Pio’s Kitchen. Intimate, hand lettering session with popular hand-letterer Abbey Sy. All these were served up to us in one evening by Swift Premium.

Pio’s Kitchen, located at Sct. Reyes corner Sct. Fuentabella (in front of Piagetian Learning Center) looks like one of the residential houses in the vicinity. But unknown to many of us, it had been turned into a private restaurant by the Gallegos couple, with Chef Chin holding intimate events here by arrangement.
