One of my most trusted airlines is Singapore Airlines. When I still used to travel a lot for work, my airline of preference, whenever it was possible, was Singapore Airlines (SIA). I felt safe flying with them and the service of the cabin crew was always superb.
The pandemic changed all travel plans for everyone for 2 years. But with our COVID cases so low now in the country and with so many countries, with high vaccination rates, traveling has returned!
You can now fly to your favorite destinations or explore new ones you have never been to. Personally, the closest countries I want to revisit include Singapore and probably Malaysia. Further away, I would probably visit Europe, especially London, Paris, and several other places I fell in love with the first time I traveled to Europe. And of course, I long to see my relatives again in the US.
Traveling is exhausting and I do not particularly relish long-haul fights. But if I have to, I want to be comfortable and cared for throughout my flight. Because of COVID, I also pay attention to an airline’s preventive measures while in flight.
When you fly SIA, here is what you can expect.
- Convenient flight choices – You can fly SIA from different points in the Philippines. SIA operates daily connecting flights from Singapore to Davao and Cebu besides the four daily flights from Manila. People in the Visayas and Mindanao now have more convenient embarkation points.
- SIA’s award-winning suite of in-flight offerings – From flavorful culinary creations to the warm hospitality from SIA’s cabin crew, enjoy a world-class experience onboard SIA.
- SIA’s enhanced safety measures – From check-in to arrival at your destination, you will experience SIA’s ‘Diamond’ rating (the highest level attainable) in the APEX Health and Safety Audit as well as its 5-star rating in the Skytrax COVID-19 Airline Safety Audit. Upon boarding, a complimentary SIA care kit is given to all customers which includes a face mask, antibacterial wipes and disinfectant surface wipes. Before the flight, download the SingaporeAir mobile app to access KrisWorld and an e-Library for your inflight entertainment and explore more features for a contactless journey. The app also offers a digital menu via which you can place your meal order, as well as personalized updates for every passenger. Every aircraft in the SIA Group fleet is equipped with HEPA filters which remove more than 99.9% of the microbes in the air. Cabin air is refreshed every 2-3 minutes throughout the flight and common surfaces are disinfected regularly.
- Complimentary rebooking – Customers with tickets issued on or before 31 May 2022 can also delight in the convenience of complimentary rebooking, regardless of fare type. With the ability to adjust your plans along the way to best suit your travel needs, you can set your mind at ease when you choose to fly with SIA. For details of their rebooking policy, click HERE.
- Quarantine-free entry into Singapore – Fully-vaccinated travelers on all SIA flights will enjoy quarantine-free entry into Singapore, without the need for any on-arrival test or quarantine requirements. (Note: All travelers must still take a pre-departure test within two days of flight departure and meet prevailing visa requirements).
Travelers, regardless of vaccination status, are also allowed to transit through Singapore on almost all SIA and Scoot flights as long as they meet the entry requirements of their final destination. (Note: Passengers cannot transit through Singapore to a destination in Mainland China or Hong Kong SAR due to regulatory requirements. Passengers departing from Mainland China or Hong Kong will be allowed to transfer through Singapore Changi Airport en route to their final destinations).
