Committing to tidying, according to Tin, is 90% mindset. One has to be determined to see it through. Imagining an ideal lifestyle meant picturing in your mind how your home would look without the clutter. Tin also said that the first thing to do, even before tidying up, is to take everything out of the closet and start discarding those you no longer want to wear. She suggests that we tidy up by category, not by location. Clothing, she said, is the easiest to let go of. We should leave sentimental items for last because she said that once you begin discarding from other categories, it prepares you to eventually let go of some of the sentimental items. Lastly, one way to decide whether to keep or let go is to ask if the item sparks joy.
It can get overwhelming; I feel like I have been forever decluttering. I can’t believe how much stuff we accumulated over decades of marriage!
Tin also said there is a difference between tidying and cleaning. Cleaning is a physical act while tidying involves a spiritual aspect to it. To be honest, it has been months already of trying to declutter and give away. It is unbelievable that even when windows are closed, dust gathers so fast. Nowadays, I open the windows for better ventilation so imagine how much faster our stuff gets dusty.
Believe it or not, I do not lack cleaning equipment. I have three vacuum cleaners – a mini one for all-around cleaning, a dry/wet one we use to vacuum the car’s seats and mats, and a bulky one that I use solely for our mattresses and sofas because it has an attachment for dust mites. Despite having these, I do not clean often using them. Why? They have long cords and have to be assembled and disassembled each time I use them. They are also quite heavy to lug around.

The ROIDMI Z1 Air integrates a 100,000 rpm digital brushless motor which provides 110W suction power. At 1.55kg, is lightweight so it is convenient for single-hand use. The Z1 Air has a runtime of 60 minutes on a single charge.
